The Lundberg Design shop was involved in material sourcing, installation and fabrication for parts of the Moss Room. The granite "scrap" pieces used for the interior and exterior signage were rescued from a local quarry. The signs were created in our shop and installed at the site–including the 2,500-pound boulder at the top of the moss wall. We fabricated the steel frames for the main dining tables, which were then fitted with end-grain Douglas fir flooring surfaces. The private dining table was constructed using the same materials. The redwood slab for the large table in the main dining room was sourced from a fallen tree on a local property. The shop also assisted with the hot-rolled steel trim work throughout the dining space. Project Fabricators: Greg Kice, Aimee Kinder, Wain Owings |
